How Much Does a Wedding Coordinator Cost in Cornwall?

If you're planning a wedding in Cornwall, you may have found yourself asking the same question as many couples before you:

How much does a wedding coordinator actually cost?

The answer is: it depends.

There are wedding coordinators offering a few hours of support on the wedding day, coordinators who step in a few weeks before the wedding, and coordinators who become your go-to person from the moment you book.

So when comparing prices, it is important to look at what is actually included. Because a £500 wedding coordinator and a £1,500 wedding coordinator may not be offering remotely the same service.

What does a wedding coordinator in Cornwall cost?

As a general guide, couples can expect to see wedding coordination services ranging from approximately £400 to £1,500+, depending on the level of support, the number of hours involved, the complexity of the wedding and the experience of the coordinator.

Across the UK, recent industry guidance places many on-the-day coordination services in the region of £400–£950, while individual coordinators and couples discussing real wedding experiences commonly report fees of approximately £600–£1,000+ for more substantial coordination packages.

In Cornwall, the price can also be influenced by the type of wedding you are planning.

A small wedding at one venue with minimal setup may require less coordination than a large marquee wedding in a field, a coastal celebration with multiple locations, or a wedding involving several suppliers arriving at different times. And, of course, Cornwall is a large county. Travel, rural venues and more complex logistics can all play a part.

Wedding coordination cost: A rough comparison

Type of coordination Typical price guide What it may include
Short wedding-day support £400–£700 A few hours of support on the wedding day
Traditional on-the-day coordination £600–£1,000 Supplier liaison, timeline management and coordination on the day
More comprehensive coordination £1,000–£1,500+ Pre-wedding support, detailed planning and extended on-site coverage
Full wedding planning £2,000+ Support throughout much or all of the planning process

These are broad guides rather than fixed prices. Every wedding and every coordinator is different.

The most important question is not simply “How much does a wedding coordinator cost?”

It is: “What am I actually getting for that investment?”

Why ‘on-the-day coordination’ can be a little misleading

One of the things I often explain to couples is that a wedding coordinator does not simply appear on the morning of your wedding, magically know what is happening and make everything run smoothly.

Well, I suppose we could try. But realistically, the work begins long before the wedding day.

Someone needs to know:

  • Which suppliers are arriving and when

  • Who is responsible for what

  • Where everything needs to go

  • What happens if it rains

  • Who is moving the flowers

  • Where the cake is being delivered

  • Who has the rings

  • What time the speeches are happening

  • Who is looking after the personal items

  • What happens if the band is late

  • Whether the toilets have actually arrived

  • And, occasionally, where exactly you can get additional toilets at 1am...

Yes, that has genuinely been asked.

Do I ever regret offering unlimited support from the moment a couple books me? Very much no.

Because weddings are complicated. There are a lot of decisions, a lot of moving parts and a lot of moments where you suddenly think:

“I have a question, and I have absolutely no idea who to ask.”

That is where I come in.

What does my wedding coordination package include?

My approach to wedding coordination is a little different.

I do not want to meet you for the first time on the morning of your wedding and expect to understand every detail of the day.

I want to know your plans.
I want to understand what matters to you.
I want to know where everything is, what you have been worrying about and which tiny detail you have been thinking about for the last six months that you are convinced nobody else has noticed.

Because those details matter.

Unlimited support from the moment you book

When you book me, you have access to me from that point onwards.

This does not mean you need to have regular meetings with me or send me every thought that pops into your head.

Although, if you do want to send me a message asking where to hire toilets at 1am, I will do my very best to help.

It means you have someone you can come to with questions as they arise.
You can ask for advice.
You can talk through a supplier.
You can sense-check an idea.
You can tell me that your plans have changed.

And I can keep an eye on where you are in the planning process and help you when you need it.

Your own Notion planning board

You also receive your own Notion planning board.

This gives you one place to organise your wedding plans, rather than having information spread across emails, WhatsApp messages, screenshots, notes apps and pieces of paper that you are absolutely certain you will remember where you put.

I can also keep an eye on your board as your plans develop.

Not in a scary, intrusive way.

More in a “I love weddings and I am genuinely interested in what you are planning” way.

I like to have a little nosey.

I want to know what you have booked, what is still outstanding and what might need a little attention before it becomes a last-minute panic.

A month-before meeting to go through everything

Approximately one month before your wedding, we have a detailed meeting to go through everything.

And I mean everything.

This is when we work through:

  • Your wedding day timeline

  • Supplier arrival times

  • Ceremony details

  • Reception details

  • Set-up requirements

  • Personal items

  • Décor

  • Speeches

  • Music

  • Food and drinks

  • Guest movements

  • Important family or guest considerations

  • Your plans for the day

  • Any last-minute questions

  • And all the things you have been meaning to ask but haven't yet

This is also when I start getting properly inside the detail of your wedding.

The aim is that by the time we reach the wedding weekend, I know what is happening, who needs to be where and what needs to happen next.

Four hours the day before your wedding

I am also there for four hours the day before your wedding.

This is partly to help with setup. But honestly, it is also one of my favourite parts of the process.

The day before your wedding is often when everything suddenly becomes real.

You can show me:

“This is where the ceremony is happening.”

“The welcome sign goes here.”

“The flowers need to go over there.”

“This is where the caterers are setting up.”

“This is where the band will be.”

“These are the things that need to be moved later.”

You can brain dump.

You can walk me through the venue.

You can show me exactly what you have imagined.

And I can ask questions.

Sometimes the most useful thing you can do is simply walk someone through your plans out loud. Because that is often when you suddenly realise:

“Oh. We haven't decided who is doing that.”

And that is exactly the kind of thing we want to discover the day before your wedding rather than at 2.37pm on your wedding day.

Ten hours on your wedding day

On your wedding day, you get 10 hours of coordination support.

My job is to manage the logistics, communicate with suppliers, keep an eye on the timeline and make sure that the plans you have spent months creating actually happen.

That might mean:

  • Welcoming suppliers

  • Directing deliveries

  • Helping with setup

  • Managing the timeline

  • Liaising with your venue and suppliers

  • Helping the day move from one part to the next

  • Keeping an eye on the little details

  • Troubleshooting problems before they reach you

  • Making sure you are where you need to be

  • And generally becoming the person who knows what is happening next

The aim is not for you to spend your wedding day managing your wedding.

You should be getting married.

You should be eating the food you carefully chose.

You should be drinking the champagne.

You should be on the dance floor.

You should not be answering a phone call from a supplier asking where to unload while you are having your photographs taken.

So, is a wedding coordinator worth the cost?

Only you can decide what is right for your wedding budget.

But I do think it is worth considering what you are really paying for.

You are not just paying for the hours that your coordinator is physically standing at your venue.

You are paying for:

  • Experience

  • Preparation

  • Organisation

  • Problem-solving

  • Supplier communication

  • A calm head

  • Someone who understands your plans

  • Someone who can make decisions when you are busy getting married

  • And the ability to enjoy your wedding rather than manage it

For me, wedding coordination is not about simply arriving on the day and ticking things off a list. It is about getting to know you, understanding what you have planned and making sure you feel supported throughout the process.

I offer unlimited support from the moment you book, a detailed planning meeting one month before your wedding, four hours of support the day before and ten hours of coordination on the wedding day itself.

You also get your own Notion planning board, with me keeping an eye on your plans along the way. Because yes, I genuinely love weddings.

I love the details.

I love seeing the plans come together.

I love a good spreadsheet.

I love a beautiful tablescape.

I love a little bit of fabric texture.

I love candles.

And I really do enjoy knowing what you are planning.

So if you are getting married in Cornwall and want someone who can help you feel organised, supported and completely present on your wedding day, I would love to hear from you.

Your wedding should be something you get to experience, not something you have to manage.
